Our commitment to Consciousness in Cosmetics creates a larger vision that encompasses us all. Our goal is to honour the body with consciousness. This vision is alive and continually expanding and we are all a part of it. PURITY & SAFETY - "Consciousness of Ingredient Purity"
We only use ingredients that we trust, knowing that they can be absorbed directly into the body through the skin. We relentlessly seek out and use ingredients that are purer, more natural or organic, creating products that are safer to use.
We reformulated our entire Bath & Body product line to exclude the use of parabens, the most widely used category of body care preservatives. This move has been applauded by the The Breast Cancer Fund. We continue to exclude sodium lauryl/laureth sulfates, which are known irritants and we use natural cleansers that clean the skin and hair gently and effectively. We use organic essential oils for fragrance and reject mineral oil, petrolatum, propylene glycol, artificial colours and synthetic fragrances. Our products are free of all toxic synthetic preservatives, petroleum-based ingredients, formaldehyde donors and other proven harmful chemicals.
SUSTAINABILITY -- "Consciousness of Organics"
It's in our name: Avalon Organics. It represents our commitment to organic agriculture because it reaches the highest ideal of sustainability -- delivering benefits to the soil, to farmers, to the environment and to our customers. We intentionally use beneficial, certified organic botanicals and oils in our products that will produce a measurable expansion of organic acreage cultivation.

PERSONAL CHOICE -- "Consciousness of Personal Choice and Sensitivity"
We are conscious of the value of all life and neither test our products on animals nor support the testing of ingredients on animals. Because we respect the individual dietary needs, choices and practices of our customers, we never use animal-based ingredients in our products. We are especially conscious of the allergenic sensitivity of many of our customers and offer an array of products that do not contain any synthetic fragrances, harsh irritants or other ingredients that commonly cause allergic reactions.
