Implant provides a combination of live bacteria to help maintain a healthy colon. Bacteria are essential for the maintenance of normal bowel function and help reduce the proliferation of opportunistic bacteria and yeast.
Following colonic irrigation the bowel is denuded of its complement of essential bacteria. This needs to be replaced rapidly so as to reduce the possibility of an overgrowth of undesirable or
opportunistic unfriendly organisms.
