We have now introduced a digestive enzyme complex provided in a vegetable capsule for children. Digestive enzymes are normally produced by the pancreas and are active in the small intestine where they break down proteins, fats and carbohydrates into smaller particles. Improper digestion may be due to enzymatic insufficiency or reduced enzyme activity. Poor digestion has been associated with food intolerances, poor nutrient status and some digestive difficulties.
