(Lactose Digesting Enzyme)
Ingredients typically per 15ml bottle
Lactase Enzyme
Non-active Ingredients:
Deionised Water
Vegetable Glycerol
One in ten white Europeans and 80% of non-white races suffer from lactose intolerance, the latter group of individuals due to a genetic lack of lactase enzyme secretion. Lactase deficiency leads to the inability to digest the lactose (milk sugar) in dairy products.
BioCare's Liquid Lactase, which is derived from Aspergillus oryzae, has been shown to be effective in hydrolysing milk sugar (Lactose), thus enabling individuals that are lactose intolerant to drink and eat milk products such as yoghurt, cheese and ice cream.
Features
· High potency lactase enzyme
· A stable and biologically active source of this vegetable enzyme
· Lactase hydrolyses the lactose in milk into glucose and galactose, two forms of simple sugars that can be digested and tolerated by lactose intolerant individuals
· Each 15ml bottle is able to convert approximately 78 pints of milk
· Acid stable against stomach pH
· Able to retain digestive capability over a wide range of pH variances
· Suitable for vegetarians and vegans
Recommended Intake
Add four drops of Liquid Lactase in one pint (568ml) of milk and refrigerate for 24 hours. Use as ordinary milk or as professionally directed. For more complete lactose digestion, use up to eight drops.
