What is Symprove? Are you in the know?
Symprove is the best live probiotic because it is a scientifically-based next generation probiotic. Symprove Ingredients
The 4 species of naturally occurring lactic acid bacteria (LAB) in Symprove are:
- Lactobacillus casei
- Lactobacillus acidophilus
- Lactobacillus plantarum
- Enterococcus faecium
Symprove also includes the following natural ingredients – water, extract of germinated barley (denatured to be gluten free), vitamin C, citrate and sorbate, which is found in berried fruit.

Why is Symprove so different?
Not all probiotics are alike or work in the same way. Unlike other everday products, Symprove works uniquely well because the bacteria are alive and ready to work (activated) from the moment Symprove is swallowed. Symprove does not trigger digestion as its Unique Delivery System (UDS™) protects our bacteria from acids as they travel through the stomach and gastrointestinal tract, and delivers them to targeted areas in the gut, where the bacteria begin to establish quickly.
Symprove is research led and every batch is independently tested to ensure it reaches you in optimum condition. Each 50ml serving (about an egg cupful) contains at least 10 billion live bacteria.
Start your day with Symprove, it's easy to take (we provide a measuring cup), wait a few minutes to allow the friendly bacteria to pass through the stomach, and then have breakfast. As a nutritional supplement, it's a good way to keep the microflora in your gut balanced.
Symprove has a shelf-life of 4 months at ambient temperate and should be popped in the fridge once a bottle is opened.
What happens with other probiotics?
Dairy probiotics trigger digestion in the stomach and this is what you would expect to happen. However, digestion releases stomach acids and bile salts to break down food and probiotic bacteria struggle in acidic environments. Few dairy probiotic bacteria survive the digestive process, and for those that do, many have lost their ability to adhere to the gut wall. All probiotic bacteria need to be able to do this to establish and build a healthy colony in your gut.
Freeze-dried probiotics are subject to extremes in the manufacturing process
Freeze-dried probiotics, as their name suggests, are subject to extremely cold temperatures (around -80°C) during the manufacturing process to place the bacteria in powder sachets or capsules. Subjecting sensitive mciroorganisms to extreme temperatures can cause physical damage to the bacterial cells. At this point, the live bacteria are rendered ineffective (or are no longer alive). Once freeze-dried probiotics are swallowed, they require liquid to rehydrate, before they can become alive and active. This can take several hours and whilst this is happening, the probiotic capsule or sachet is working its way down through your digestive tract. More often than not, by the time these freeze-dried probiotic bacteria have managed to survive the manufacturing process, and are ready to work, they have passed the areas of the gut where they need to establish and colonise, and pass out in your stools.

Thank you for your email.
I was diagnosed with IBS a few years ago and have suffered from food intolerances which i believe to be the main cause of the IBS so much so that eating out can be an extremely upsetting experience – literally! I read about Symprove in the Daily Mail and researched what people were saying about it. Accordingly i was confident enough to give it a go. I have been taking Symprove for about three weeks now and although early days i do feel better for taking it. Perhaps most noticeable of all is that my stools appear to be more normal now. I have purchased additional supplies so that i will be able to continue taking it for another eight weeks or so. It will be interesting to assess the effects after the full twelve week period.

Very happy to write about how Symprove has helped.
Symprove is not for myself, it is for my son. Growing up he liked confidence, when he started 6th form, he started to have extremely bad stomach pains, mainly in the morning, which was diagnosed as IBS. We had many trips to the doctors and tried different tablets and kept a food diary, but nothing really helped, he struggled through his A-levels and got accepted into university.
During his first year at uni, some days he struggled to get out of bed due to the pain, when he was home for Christmas he returned to his part time job at Waitrose, which meant very early starts, as a mother I found it difficult to cope with seeing him in pain and tried many different suggestions from health shops as well as the tablets from the doctors.
Then one day at work someone gave me a magazine to read and in it was a whole page on Symprove, I went onto the Internet and it had nothing but positive feedback. My son, was very negative to try it, especially at the cost, along with what uni costs, but I ordered some anyway. He hated the taste and still has another drink ready for as soon as he's take it, but it has helped tremendously. He is not completely pain free, but he can now cope with it and early morning and it has got him through two years of uni exams. It has to be symprove which is helping as if he doesn't take it the pains are bad.

Thank you for your request for a brief testimonial concerning the effects of 'Symprove' as a remedy for the distressing condition caused by malfunctioning digestion.
The treatment was required by my wife who suffered for several years from a very painful and debilitating reflux that could only be controlled by continual recourse to conventional stomach acid remedies.
