Vitamin B6 is a water-soluble B vitamin normally found in liver, egg yolk, pulses, sunflower seeds, brewer's yeast and some fish. Vitamin B6 is rapidly converted in the body to its preferred, biologically active form of pyridoxal-5-phosphate. Vitamin B6 is produced by the micro-organisms in the human intestinal tract, but little of this is absorbed or utilised.

Recommended Intake

Contra-indications
Not suitable for children under 12 years of age (See Junior B Complex for this age group). Long term intakes of 50mg vitamin B6 may lead to mild tingling and numbness.
